How it works
- As you type, your text is split on whitespace to count words and on sentence-ending punctuation to count sentences — updated live, with no button to press.
- A syllable count is estimated for each word by counting vowel-sound groups, which feeds into the readability calculation.
- The Flesch Reading Ease score is derived from average sentence length and average syllables per word, then mapped to a plain-English label from "Very easy" to "Very difficult".
- All of this runs synchronously in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is saved once you leave the page.
