AI Text Detector
Runs a set of writing-pattern heuristics (sentence-length variance, repetition, common AI phrasing) entirely in your browser to estimate whether text may be AI-generated.
Processed entirely in your browser — your files are never uploaded to a server.
This is a heuristic estimate, not a definitive verdict — no detector, including this one, can guarantee whether text was AI-generated.
How it works
- Your text is split into sentences and words directly in your browser's JavaScript — nothing is ever sent anywhere.
- It measures how much sentence length varies (AI-generated text tends to be more uniform), scans for a fixed list of common AI-sounding stock phrases, and calculates how varied your word choice is.
- Those three signals are combined into a single 0–100 score using fixed heuristic weights — this is pattern-matching, not a trained machine-learning classifier.
- The score is mapped to a plain-English label — "Likely human-written," "Uncertain," or "Shows AI-like patterns" — alongside the individual signal breakdown so you can see what drove the result.
