Writing Style Checker

Scans your text for common style issues — passive voice, repeated words, and overly long sentences — with plain-English suggestions.

Processed entirely in your browser — your files are never uploaded to a server.
Covers common style issues, not a full grammar-correction engine.

How it works

  1. Your text is parsed into sentences and words locally using a JavaScript natural-language library — nothing is sent to a server.
  2. Each sentence is checked against four pattern rules: passive-voice constructions, sentences over 30 words, consecutive repeated words, and clusters of filler adverbs like "very" or "really".
  3. Every match becomes a flagged issue with the exact sentence quoted back and a plain-English explanation of what to look at.
  4. Nothing is auto-corrected — you decide how, or whether, to rewrite each flagged sentence.
