How it works

1. Your image is drawn onto an in-browser canvas at its full original resolution.
2. In text mode, your watermark is measured against the canvas width — if it wouldn't fit at the chosen font size, the tool shrinks the font just enough to keep the whole line on the image. In logo mode, your uploaded image is scaled to a percentage of the photo's width, keeping its own aspect ratio.
3. The text or logo is drawn directly onto the pixel data at your chosen position and opacity, becoming part of the image itself rather than a separate overlay layer.
4. The canvas is exported as a new PNG file for download — the original file on your device is left untouched.
