JSON Formatter & Validator

How it works

1. As you type or paste, your JSON is parsed using the same JSON.parse that JavaScript itself uses, so any syntax error is caught immediately.
2. If parsing fails, the exact error the parser produces is shown — including where it stopped — so you can pinpoint the problem instead of guessing.
3. Format re-serializes the parsed data with 2-space indentation; Minify re-serializes it with no whitespace at all. Both use JSON.stringify on the same parsed object, so structure and values never change — only formatting.
4. Everything happens instantly and locally — no data is uploaded to format or validate it.
